Daniel McNamee established his bakery in Crossmaglen in September 1939. His aim was to produce the finest breads using a family recipe that was unique for its use of 100% pure, fresh Irish Buttermilk and a special blend of flours.Three generations later and the McNamee family is still producing its famous artisan breads to that same recipe from the same bakery in the town square.
